Façade Restoration & Conservation.

Rope Access

Abseiling/rope access is an innovative alternative means of access for carrying out surveys and repair works to high level substrates where conventional access is not an option.

Eliminating the need for scaffolds and fixed scaffolds, this cost-effective option for access not only provides limited disruption but can save substantial time during the preparation and installation processes compared to other means of access.

All rope access works are carried out by fully qualified and experienced operatives, allowing us to deliver a wide range of services in an efficient manner.

Façade Surveys

Structures Group offer a very useful surveying service by providing condition reports for clients and designers. We can do this at any stage of the project’s lifecycle, from early design to construction.

Using our highly experienced surveyors, we utilise the existing design information available (including BIM) to survey and evaluate the condition of the building’s fabric and compile the findings into a survey report. As part of the report, we then provide marked up drawings and a fully costed bill of quantities related to the scope of work, including best practice repair methodologies. This gives our clients and design teams reassurance from the start that all proposed works are in accordance with best practice guidelines. Our collaborative approach improves the lead times on projects in the design phase, ensuring progress during construction.

Intrusive Surveys

Building Material Analysis.

Structures Group are passionate about the preservation of listed buildings. We take the responsibility of restoring listed buildings and history seriously and are proud experts in this field. To preserve our nation’s heritage, we must ensure that both the methods and the materials used match those used at the time of the build. To ensure we get the closest match, samples are taken from site and sent to a local laboratory. Each sample undergoes rigorous testing to give a detailed analysis of what it contains.

Material analysis can also be used to uncover whether a material is harmful or hazardous to either work with or remove, which is often the case with most coatings found in listed buildings. Often coatings contain lead, which Structures Group are equipped to remove using various methods to suit the project/building.
