We’re excited to announce the successful completion of the Birkenhead Court project. This restoration project showcased our expertise in concrete repair, cleaning, and protection.
A Comprehensive Assessment
Our team conducted a thorough cosmetic and hammer test survey to assess the condition of the concrete. We then carefully removed defective concrete and prepared the surfaces for treatment.
Cleaning and Protection
A comprehensive pressure wash cleaned the building, removing contaminants and creating a sound surface for the application of anti-carbonation coatings. Exposed steel and reinforcing bars were cleaned and primed to prevent corrosion.
Concrete Repair and Finishing
We reinstated damaged concrete using a high-quality repair mortar and applied a primer before finishing with two coats of Sika-approved paint. To address the brickwork, we performed a light mortar stain remover clean and carried out patch pointing in diminished areas. Brick repairs were completed using lime repair mortar that matched the existing colour.
